Music, Music, Music, and 2010

March 18, 2010

2010 has been pushing out a lot of music already and it is only about to get 10x better.  Check out what has been released so far and what to look out for after the JUMP!

So Far in 2010

Hot Chip – One Life Stand

Gorillaz’ new album Plastic Beach came out last week and it is GOOD!  Check out this sexy Alex Metric remix that the interweb has been jockin.

Crookers – Tons of Friends

This album is going to be absolutely HUGE.  I previewed it and it is filled with great dance numbers.  It has already been released in Europe last week and is coming to the US on March 22.  If you can’t wait you can order the digital release through Itunes UK.

The Future

Wu-Tang is back with their 3 stars, Meth + Ghost + Raekwon, for a Wu-Massacre.  Release date 3/30/10

Also out on March 30 is E-Feezy aka E-40 double album Revenue Retrievin: Day Shift and Revenue Retrievin: Night Shift. I don’t like the idea that he is selling the albums separate but what I have heard so far is good.  Real Good.  Don’t sleep on this one.

MGMT is back from their successful debut with the properly titled Congratulations

Lupe Fiasco is coming out with his third album and hopefully it maintains the quality of his last two albums because I wasn’t really feelin his last mixtape.

Kid Cudi is releasing is sophomore album later this year entitled Cudder: Revolution of Evolution. Supposedly he is ditching his slow emo songs for a more upbeat style for this album.  Good news for me.

Nas and Damian Marley come together for a album entitled Distant Relatives scheduled to be released on May 18.  I am a big Damian Marley fan and have much respect for Nas so I will definitely be picking this one up.  They worked well together on “Road to Zion” and hopefully the magic keeps going on this album

There is a bunch more that is coming out but I am getting tired.  Anyways keep your ears open for new music from these artists as well as B.O.B, Big Boi from Outkast, M.I.A, Maroon 5, Drake, Santigold, J Cole, Rusko, Jay Electronica, The Dream, T.I, Mike Posner, Kanye West, Justice and more that I forgot.  2010 is going to be a good year.
